It is the second time in a week that the two sides have faced each other, with Town emerging victorious in the north east on Tuesday.

The game finished 4-2 to the Young Terriers, but the hosts did take the lead in the 25th minute on a difficult pitch. However, Town equalised on the half hour mark when striker Zak Abbott held the ball up well before finding Aaron Ojungu, who flipped a great pass over the top of the defence for Hazeem Bakre to race on to. Hazeem entered the penalty area and stepped inside the defender before bending a pinpoint effort around the ‘keeper and inside the far post.

Bakre got his second two minutes later to give Town the lead for the first time. Having been found by an Oliver Calland pass, he pirouetted to get onto left again before driving the ball across the goalkeeper’s left side.

The hosts equalised in the 66th minute, but Town weren’t to be denied and restored their lead with a quarter of an hour left. Substitute Gabriano Shelton found Bakre, who instantly turned the ball into the path of forward Danny Isaac. He entered the penalty area before calmly stroking the ball past the goalkeeper.

Bakre had hit the post twice in search of his hat-trick, and finally completed it in added time. Town defended a corner and the clearance set the forward away, who jinked past two recovering defenders and finished past the goalkeeper.
