As a Club we wholeheartedly advocate that everyone is welcome, regardless of background and any protected characteristic (as defined in the Equality Act 2010). We recognise that we play an integral role in creating and developing social cohesion throughout the town and wider locality. Football itself plays a unique role in bringing people together from a wide range of different communities, and through our ‘Terriers Together’ equality, diversity, and inclusion work, we hope to create and maintain an environment in which current and new supporters can attend fixtures, or engage with us in other ways, in the knowledge that discriminatory and/or abusive behaviour and language will not be tolerated, and that our Club is respectful of everyone.
What is the Terriers Together Inclusion Room?
The ‘Terriers Together’ Inclusion Room is a safe space in which different groups of supporters can attend our home fixtures and feel confident that their individual needs will be catered for.
We recognise that not all supporters are able to attend matches if they have no alternative but to sit in the main stands. The Inclusion Room enables our valued supporters to watch a match from inside, with the option of moving to the outdoor seating if this is preferred.
Who is the Terriers Together Inclusion Room for?
The room contains a range of sensory equipment, which may be particularly beneficial to autistic supporters and/or individuals with sensory processing needs. The Inclusion Room is also equipped with bean bags and soft throws, to provide additional comfort and warmth as may be required.
One half of the Inclusion Room can be closed off to the external environment with the blinds that are installed, and the lighting can be adjusted to individual preferences.
We would like as many supporters as possible to benefit from the Inclusion Room and our only criterion is that there must be a genuine reason why attending a match in the main stands would be a prohibiting factor (for example, specific needs relating to disability, people who have long-term or limiting health conditions, people in end-of-life care, breastfeeding mums etc.).
How to attend the Terriers Together Inclusion Room
If you would like to attend a match from the comfort of the Inclusion Room, please contact our Disability Liaison Officer by email to dlo@htafc.com. Please make your enquiry at least three weeks before the match you would like to attend; we are receiving a high volume of enquiries and cannot guarantee that every request will be accommodated. The room may be used by more than one family/party per match.
Users of the Inclusion Room must have a valid match day ticket, and these will be at the standard price per ticket based on category of supporter. Prices may vary from game to game depending on the nature of the match (e.g., a league fixture, or cup fixture) and any other factors including whether the attendee(s) is/are disabled and require a ticket for a companion.
Children under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times by a parent, carer, or other adult companion.
Capacity is a maximum of 12 people at any time (excluding Club staff, or other supervisors).
Room Specifications
• Based in the Fantastic Media Stand – enter via the KAL Reception and the Inclusion Room is accessible by lift.
• Accessible for wheelchair users (a maximum of two wheelchair users per match).
• There is one designated car parking space in the Town Avenue car park for users of the Inclusion Room. Additional parking may be available on request but is not guaranteed to be in an accessible location (spaces are limited and must be reserved at the time of booking tickets).
• Clean, accessible toilets within the room.
• Coat hangers are provided to keep coats/jackets away from floors and equipment.
• Unrestricted view of the match.
• Comfortable seats and bean bags for indoor use only.
• Separate ‘chill out’ area, which includes facilities to help individuals to calm down and relax, before returning to watch the match.
• Bubble tubes and other sensory features such as adjustable lighting, sounds, and pre-set projection facilities are included in the chill out area.
• Lighting can be dimmed with the dimmer switches.
• Walls are painted in neutral colours.
• Room for 12 people (excluding staff who may be required to supervise the area).
• Refreshments can be ordered from hospitality staff and may be consumed in the non-sensory space. Please note that food must be ordered prior to the day of the match; any guests wishing to order food may do so in advance by contacting Sam Horsman by email to sam.horsman@htafc.com.

Visitors' Book
A visitors’ book is provided in which guests may provide feedback on their experience of the Inclusion Room, which will enable us to continuously review the facilities and improve them as may be necessary.
