Another product of the Town Academy, Nathan signed his first professional deal in August of 2001 and made his first-team debut a month later when he started the 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
The elder of Town's two Clarke brothers, Nathan put an injury-ravaged 2006/07 season behind him to rediscover the form that saw him named as one of the top 50 players outside the Premiership in both 2005 and 2006.
The centre-back can deliver a massive long-throw and is very good at timing his tackles.
Nathan started the 2009/10 season vying for the place next to Peter Clarke in the centre of Town's defence and will be looking to re-establish himself in Lee Clark's starting eleven this season - a campaign in which he should notch his 300th professional appearance whilst still in his mid twenties.
