LEE CLARK - FEBRUARY'S MANAGER OF THE MONTH!
Huddersfield Town's Lee Clark has been named as the Coca-Cola League One Manager of the Month for February 2010.
The 37-year old saw off the challenge of Millwall's Kenny Jackett, Swindon Town's Danny Wilson and Aidy Boothroyd of Colchester United to scoop February's award after guiding the Terriers through an unbeaten month that included impressive wins at Carlisle, Hartlepool and Tranmere.
Having already won this award back in November, Lee has become the first Town boss to win the 'Manager of the Month' award on two separate occasions in one season since the award's inception in August 2005. Previously, Peter Jackson was the only Huddersfield Town boss to be given the award - he was the first manager to get the title back in the award's first month.
Norwich City boss Paul Lambert is the only other manager to win the award twice this season; he was given the title in December and January. In the history of the League One award, only one manager has won the title on three separate occasions - former Swansea manager Roberto Martinez during the 2007/08 campaign.
"We win and lose as a team here, just as I said following the game at Southampton on Tuesday night, so I am accepting this award on behalf of the players, the coaching staff and everyone else that works at Huddersfield Town," Lee told htafc.com today.
"It's great that the Club has been recognised for the good run of results we earned over February; now we must concentrate fully on replicating that form in the remaining 12 games of the season."
