2013/14 home kit on sale now
Huddersfield Town has called upon some of its greatest ever players to showcase the new 2013/14 home kit, as designed by PUMA.
An eleven of legendary Huddersfield Town players has been chosen to don the shirts on the 100th anniversary of the Club wearing blue and white stripes, following from the inaugural striped shirt in the 1913/14 campaign.
The kit will be available at the Stadium Superstore from 7am until 7pm on Thursday 20 June 2013.
The kit is also available from the Club’s Sporting Pride store on Cloth Hall Street in Huddersfield from 9am until 5pm and online 24 hours a day at www.htafcmegastore.com
The Stadium Superstore will open on Friday from 9am to 5pm and will also be extending its opening hours on Saturday to 9am until 5pm, and on Sunday morning between 9am and 12 noon.
The blue and white striped shirts, which start from £40 for adults in short sleeves, are made from lightweight polyester, with mesh side and underarm panels for extra cooling.
The predominantly white shorts, which start from £20 for adults, are also lightweight polyester, with single blue and black taping down the left leg to match with the shirt collar.
The black socks start from £10 in adult sizes.
Huddersfield Town worked with Club Partners, Worthington Brown, to create an image of what could be argued the greatest 11 players to wear the blue and white striped shirt.
Hughie Turner – Goalkeeper

Malcolm Brown – Defender
Played 259 successive League and Cup games for Town between 1978 and 1983 – a Club record
Ray Wilson – Defender
Arguably the best-known player ever to pull on a Town shirt, he went on to play in England’s World Cup winning side
Roy Ellam – Defender
Robust defender who played a key part in Town’s return to the top flight in the 1969/70 season
Trevor Cherry – Defender
Like Ellam, Cherry was another stalwart in the 1969/70 promotion season – missing just two games
Mark Lillis – Midfielder
Now Academy Manager, his hard work and commitment perfectly characterized the Mick Buxton era at Town
Billy Smith – Midfielder
Legend – the Club’s greatest appearance holder, scorer of Town’s FA Cup winner, winner of three League titles and England international
Frank Worthington – Forward
One of Town’s most flamboyant and colourful characters and top scorer in the 1969/70 promotion team
Steve Kindon - Forward
Another cult hero at Town, ‘Kindo’ excelled in the Buxton era with 37 goals in 82 appearances
Denis Law – Forward
One of the game’s all-time greats, Law joined Town at 16 and eventually moved onto Manchester City – with the fee paying for the floodlights at Leeds Road
Andy Booth – Forward
